Rabbits defeat Westerwinds

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Kristina Martin hit .385 with a match-high 19 kills as South Dakota State downed Western Illinois Friday night for its 12th straight win, running the Jackrabbits record to 14-3 and a perfect 5-0 in The Summit League.

Emily Rooney and Amy Anderson both joined Martin with double digit kills; Rooney added 11 and Anderson chipped in with ten.

Along with her ten kills, Anderson added five block assists, which brings her within five of taking the SDSU all-time from Sarah Biggerstaff (346 block assists from 2001-04). She needs just three block assists to tie Kim Bostrom (345 block assists from 2001-04) for second on the all-time list.
